A Year of Bold Nominations
Two different entries for the 2021 Chip Shop Awards which were nominated for the awards. Both of these creatives used the pandemic as a source of inspiration.
The first entry played on how due to restaurants being unable to serve customers during COVID, meaning a rise in the number of people using food ordering apps such as Deliveroo. Unfortunately the pandemic meant that people couldn’t socialise or date - meaning that peoples sexual cravings couldn’t be met. These ads answered those cravings with food alternatives.
The second entry was a parody, playing on the supposed ‘Lynx effect’, which would if true be morally irresponsible during social distancing.
